Are Liquid Leggings Still In?

Liquid leggings have been a huge trend since last fall, and they’re still going strong into spring. This is a trend that you either love or hate. The shiny black leggings can be a fabulous look if worn right (Amani from Jersey), but they might also not be the most flattering choice for everyone. LOL!

Spring Trend: Boyfriend Jeans

This season, fashion isn’t only about wearing stuff from your own closet. One of the hottest trends involves stealing from a guy’s wardrobe. That’s right, menswear-inspired fashion is hot for Spring 2009. Evidenced is supported by the recent popularity of boyfriend jeans. Now obviously, depending on your size and your boyfriend’s size, you don’t have to literally steal a pair of jeans from him to rock this trend. Instead, you can buy this style of jeans from a local retailer. To save money, I recommend buying these vintage, because this is such a trendy item that will be out of style fast. There’s no point buying new “boyfriend jeans” if you ask me!

The Monolith Table And Chairs by Gioia Meller Marcovicz

Fashion and furniture designer Gioia Meller Marcovicz has created the Monolith table and chairs. When not in use, the stainless steel table and chairs can fold up into a compact unit, but when needed can transform to dine ten people. I can imagine inviting friends over for dinner and them asking, “where is your dinner table?” I will consider getting this for my house in the future. That’s if, my wife approves!

Cabel Headquarters by Massimo Mariani

Massimo Mariani architects have designed the office headquarters for Cabel Industry. an Italian company that makes software for banks. The building sits on the edge of the town of Empoli, it measures 4.500 square meters and it is sited inside the local industrial area.Partially set into the ground, the building is composed of two extended floors out the ground level and a vault under. Along the main front the facade is protected by a long slice of public green. During the day colored glass create liquid chromatic effects inside black and white offices, instead of nighttime when colored cuts project out vivid lighting effects underlining holes, cuts and shapes of the building. The building is made of precast concrete elements with aluminum cladding on the roof and rounded facades. Roof cladding hide photovoltaic systems producing 150Kw, so the building is energetically self-sufficient. While it is a great office building, I was thinking that this building would make a great residential property.
